The Town Treasurer plays a vital role in the management of the finances of the town.  He or she is responsible for keeping the town's accounts, investing money received by the town (with the approval of the selectboard), keeping a record of the taxes voted and paying orders drawn on him/her by officials authorized by law to draw orders on town accounts.  The Treasurer's primary function is to keep the accounts of the town from the moment the money is collected by the town to the moment it is paid out or invested by the town.

Taxes are due annually on the first Wednesday of November. 
Quarterly sewer payments are due on or before March 15, June 15, September 15 and December 15 of each year.

Property and Sewer taxes that are not paid by the due date become delinquent and are subject to interest (1% for the first 3 months and 1.5% thereafter) and 8% penalty fees.
